Thought of the Day
We all have different aspirations, leading us down different paths, with a variety of challenges, pursuing various goals. Often we will find that the greater the aspiration, the longer the path, and the more challenges faced to reach each goal. But the question is how great your aspirations are and are you willing to walk the extra mile and face the challenges to reach your goals? I once met an individual who had the "when" not "if" mentality - it was not "if" they would be successful, it was "when." And they had the "how" not "why" mentality" - "how" they were going to achieve their goals and not "why" they couldn't. This individual put all objections aside and was dedicated to reaching their dream without wondering "if" it could be done or all the reasons "why" it couldn't. This mentality allows for goals to be accomplished, regardless of the length of the path or obstacles along the way.
Weekly Inspiration
Adopt the when and how mentality. It is this mentality which creates aspirations (when) and the creation of a path (how) that drives individuals to become successful. Don't allow yourself to think if or why it can't be done. Focus on your goals, layout the proper steps in achieving your goals, and continue to pursue them until they are reached.
Quote of the Week

Thought of the Day
Why do we let our fears keep us from seeking new opportunities
Throughout life we are presented with many opportunities. More often than not we overlook these opportunities, afraid to face the challenges which may arise along the way. We sit in the comfort of our current position. While we may want more, we know that the possibility of failure will increase if we walk a new path. We than allow our fears to control our success and limit our opportunities. We become stagnant and complacent. We no longer see opportunities, for our fears blind us.
Weekly Inspiration
Don't let opportunities pass you by
Throughout life we are only presented with so many opportunities. While we are born with different abilities, what sets us apart is the opportunities which we take. Even the most intellectual individuals will be limited by their decisions not to act on opportunities presented. Separate yourself and take advantage of opportunities which might lead to success. Have an understanding of where your passion lies, set realistic goals, and seek opportunities to assist in obtaining your goals. While failure may exist, focus on success and it will become a more prevalent outcome. The people you surround yourself with is a direct reflection of you and can be a determinate of your success. Surround yourself around people who encourage your success, not those who criticize your ideas and continue to reveal the possibility of failure. Otherwise you will allow others fears and inabilities to limit your success.
Quote of the Week
"Successful people see opportunities where others see problems"

Thought of the Week
At what point do we become too successful to not have a minute for the people who attributed to our success. At what point does our success hinder our ability to make others successful. How do we define success. Is it the CEO of a multi-billion dollar corporation or a single mother who works two jobs to get her kids through college. I guess it would depend on the individuals definition of success and by which measurements to consider in defining success.
Inspirational Message
Define what success means to you
Don't plead to the stereotypical view of success - money and power. Create measurements to define your success which brings happiness to yourself and those around you. Realign your vision of success to becoming your ability to create positive change in the lives of those around you. The single mother could be extremely successful by raising exceptional kids and giving them opportunities she never had. The CEO could be successful as well, not measured by income or power, but measured by the impact and opportunities provided to the company employees. Never lose focus of what success truly means and the impact your success has on those around you.
